The Little Boy With His Teddy And Toy

As I went for a walk on the cold winters night,
Near a graveyard I got a big fright.
For there at the gates stood a little boy,
Holding a teddy and some other toy.

He looked very worried as I got near,
In his eyes I could see nothing but fear.
"Please Miss help" he said with a stammer,
There stood behind him a man with a hammer.

The little boy saw him and started to shake,
He then started to run up the road to the lake.
The man went to move so I stood in his way,
What happened next i find hard to say.
The man ran straight through me and off after the boy,
On the floor I could see the teddy and toy.

I picked them both up and then I did run,
Towards the lake to see what he'd done.
He hit the young lad as the sun it did rise,
And there they both vanished in frount of my eyes.

I looked at my hands at the toy and the teddy,
They to had vanished I felt so unsteady.
I wanted to know who was this young boy,
Who stood at the gates with his teddy and toy.
